OVERWATCH COUNSELING SERVICES: CORE APPROACH
Our Expertise
Overwatch Counseling Services provides clinically grounded counseling for adults and couples who live with chronic stress, complex histories, and high expectations of themselves, pairing strong clinical skill with a deep understanding of high pressure lives.
Depending on client needs and fit, Will integrates evidence-backed approaches such as EMDR and DBT-informed skills, alongside other research-supported methods selected to serve the work.
Our Commitment
Every client is met with calm, honesty, and loyalty. If you trust Overwatch Counseling Services with your story, the commitment is to come through for you with care, clarity, and consistent follow through.
Our Philosophy
The counseling approach is agency based; it honors the strength you have already shown, helps you understand why you feel the way you do, and focuses on rebuilding competence and deliberate choice so your life no longer runs on constant survival mode.
Therapy here also emphasizes radical honesty; Will does not sugar coat or talk around things in session, and works to cut straight to the heart of the matter while maintaining empathy and respect. This direct, action-oriented style tends to fit clients with a bias toward action and a more masculine approach to therapy.
Our Experience
Therapy here is built around deliberate decisions about how you want to live, then we focus our combined energy on helping those decisions take hold, become practical, and actually serve you long term.
The work is shaped by decades in high consequence environments and years of clinical practice with chronic trauma survivors, high functioning professionals, and the partners and families who live beside them.

ABOUT WILLIAM KIMMINS, LCPC
William Kimmins, LCPC, is the founder of Overwatch Counseling Services and a licensed clinical professional counselor whose life has been spent where outcomes are real and failure is felt.

Before becoming a therapist, Will served for more than two decades in the United States Army, much of that time within Army Special Operations, leading and supporting people who operated under sustained, high stakes pressure. That experience drew him toward a simple question: what happens when the mission slows down, but the nervous system does not.

Pursuing graduate level training and clinical licensure, Will transitioned into psychotherapy with a clear focus: to offer thoughtful, effective counseling to people who have carried more than their share for a very long time.

His practice serves veterans, tactical professionals, first responders, helping professionals, and partners and families who live beside them, as well as other high functioning adults who are tired of holding everything together alone and ready for a different way forward.
